Tune to a piano


The diagram below shows how the notes on the guitar line up with the notes on the piano. Now all you have to do is play each string separately and match the notes up with the coresponding note on the piano.


This type of tuning requires a good ear which could take years to perfect. Another thing to remember is that the piano and the guitar are two different sounding instruments which makes it more difficult to tune. That is why I recommend tuning with a portable digital tuner.
